We are currently working with local schools, both public and private, to build awareness of homelessness and create programs in their institutions, so students can work together to be change agents in their communities. We welcome new schools to participate with us.

When we began in 2019, coming up with the “LifePak” name was easy, because we were already building and handing out life-pack bags. We wanted a logo that would convey the spirit in which we were founded. We locked in on the image of a woodcut wave. We felt the primitive carving implied that we were creating something from scratch, with our own hands. Sort of a grass-roots movement.

As we moved forward, took initiative, and built awareness of homelessness, the wave came with us. So did other people. With each new person, each new club, each new school and sponsor, we gained momentum. The more people that join, the bigger our wave becomes, and the greater difference we can make.

The tagline “Be the Wave. Be the Change.” is a play on Gandhi’s quote, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” He overcame great challenges and we think we can too.
